Originally from Cortez, Colorado, Kalysha joined the Ownby Design team in 2018. Charged with creative energy and eager to push boundaries, Kalysha approaches interior design as a true art form and is a strong asset to the Ownby Design team. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University, and many years of design experience in both Colorado and Arizona under her belt. When asked what her favorite part is about her job, she replied, “Being a part of a team, not only because we work together but because we respect, trust and care for each other.” Her attention to detail and passion for creating welcoming spaces has earned her multiple awards, including first place Design Excellence awards from the American Society of Interior Designers for kitchen, bathroom, and outdoor living space. On the weekends, you can often find her socializing with friends, playing sand volleyball and spending time with her dogs Zyzz and Kane.

With over 7 years experience as an interior designer under her belt and a Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University, Tami is no stranger to creating stunning works of art with every home. She has a unique gift for creative innovation, as she enjoys being able to infuse both her right and left brain into her craft. Not only that, but getting to know her clients and forming personalized connections to each design project is something she cherishes the most, working in design allows Tami to stay true to herself while showcasing her artistic prowess. Hailing from Florida but making Arizona home since childhood, Tami’s enthusiasm and energy bring an added sparkle to any environment. In her spare time, this extrovert loves spending time with her fiancé or socializing with family & friends.

Originally from Washington State, Alyssa’s passion for design started at a very young age, sparked by a love for building, creating, and spending time outdoors. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University, with a minor in business, and has been with Ownby Design since 2020. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her most favorite people in the world, her husband and daughter. She also enjoys the great outdoors, tackling a DIY project, and cozying up for a good movie night. Her approach is rooted in authenticity, balance, and a love for creating spaces that feel as warm and personal as the life she builds beyond the studio.

Born and raised in Arizona, Kendren studied Interior Design at Northern Arizona University, building a strong foundation in commercial design. Today, she channels her love for thoughtful details and problem-solving into the world of residential design. Passionate about creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional, Kendren approaches each project with care and creativity. When she’s not dreaming up design solutions, she enjoys crafting seasonal wreaths or spoiling her cat—who certainly doesn’t need more toys, but how can anyone say no?

Phyllis brings a unique set of skills and experiences to her role at our company. Her favorite part of her job is the interaction and communication with the team, which she never tires of; in addition, she enjoys learning all aspects of business administration to be a key support player when needed. Joining our organization was an easy decision for her – her skills complemented the position perfectly and she knew she’d have plenty of room to grow within such a successful company culture. Phyllis is an Arizona native, and prior to this role she’s been a primary education teacher and a realtor, gaining important insight along the way. Away from work, she loves spending time outside: hiking, running, walking or gardening – Phyllis believes you’re never too old to learn something new or take a chance.

Stevie holds a bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University. With a love for innovation and creativity, Stevie finds herself captivated by the progress she witnesses while working as part of the Ownby Design team. Dear to her heart is the insight to watch a simple idea metamorphose into a tangible structure, giving each day a unique experience and a strong sense of accomplishment. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, and raised in Palm Springs, California, Stevie now resides in Arizona where she has been living for the past few years. When she’s not on the clock, Stevie loves to unwind with yoga – helping her both relax and focus on the bigger picture all at once.

Originally from Redlands, California, Mackenzie moved to Arizona to attend Grand Canyon University, where she studied Behavioral Health Science. While Mackenzie decided not to pursue counseling, she discovered a deeper passion for connecting with people, supporting others, and making a meaningful impact in everyday ways.

When she’s not working, Mackenzie loves to hike, practice yoga, and read. She’s always looking for new ways to challenge herself and see how far she can grow in different areas of life. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their little family—their two dogs and cat. If she had it her way, she’d spend every day at Disneyland or relaxing on the beach—but her Disney princess fairytale hasn’t come true… yet.

Currently in her senior year at Arizona State University and set to graduate in May 2026, Rachel is thrilled to be pursuing her long-time passion for Interior Design. Being part of the Ownby Design team has been an incredible experience—there is always something new to learn, and the dynamic in the office makes every day both exciting and inspiring.

Interning at Ownby Design has been an honor, giving her the chance to live out a dream she has held for as long as she can remember. Rachel is grateful for everything she has learned so far and looks forward to what the future holds as she continues to grow in the world of design.

Donald has been driven by career growth throughout his professional career, so when it came time to join the Ownby Design team and work at a place that allowed him to express himself creatively and dive into new marketing opportunities, it was an easy decision. Through his prior experience working in television news for 14 years, Donald was able to develop the necessary video and audio production skills as well as technical knowledge of executing newscasts. After working in the television news industry, he joined the marketing team of an ecommerce company as their Senior Videographer & Media Specialist before then being afforded the chance to join Ownby Design. Donald also has a wide palette of hobbies which he shares with his wife Monica; chief among them are enjoying all genres of scary movies, and he is a self-proclaimed comic book nerd. Working with his talented colleagues is what Donald enjoys the most about his job, with every day bringing new challenges and fascinating conversations.
