Scottsdale Interior Design

One of my most recent Scottsdale Arizona interior design projects is a 5,500 square foot home located in Estancia, a community in North Scottsdale, at the base of Pinnacle Peak. The home was built in 1997, and it features old world architecture with traditional interior detailing.
Hawaii Interior Design

One of my favorite Hawaii interior design projects was a home at the Lau’ Eki Estates at Hualalai.
The scope was to fully furnish and accessorize the 5, 300 sq. ft. home. The color palette had to be mainly neutral with soft accents that would please a wide variety of potential homeowners. We selected soft golden tones and rusty oranges for the accents. We also had to choose art and accessories that were pleasing to a wide audience, so we used Asian architectural artifacts and antiques.
Interior Design Phoenix, Arizona

Some people believe that the extent of Phoenix Arizona interior design is southwestern style. In fact, my clients throughout Arizona reflect many different perspectives and styles – from Tuscan to modern to minimalistic, and a Scottsdale or Phoenix interior design project could differ significantly from a Paradise Valley interior design project. As the designer, it is my responsibility to create a custom design experience for each and every client.
Resin Panels

Blending Styles

When blending interior design styles within your home it is important to find a common theme amongst the elements. Often people stick to one interior decorating style in their home, which depending on personality and lifestyle, can feel monotonous. If you are looking to create what many would call an eclectic styled home, or you just have so many likes that you don’t know how to narrow it down there are a few simple interior decorating tips or rules to stick to in order to be successful.
Custom Furniture

One of the benefits that our clients acquire from working with our interior design firm is our ability to provide them with furniture pieces that are truly unique and customized to fit their comfort level and needs. Being able to design custom pieces is one of my very favorite parts of the interior design process.
K+BB Awards
Submitted by admin on Mon, 07/07/2008 - 12:40.Ownby Design recently won two design awards from Kitchen and Bath Business (K+BB) for our interior design work in the kitchen and bath space in Hawaii.
One of our Maui properties won a coveted “Kitchen of the Year” award for the sleek and modern kitchen designed by members of our talented interior design team.
Our Hawaii interior design work also earned us an Honorable Mention award in the Bath category for the master bath design of another oceanfront Maui property.
Inspiration

In all of my Arizona interior design projects as well as my Hawaii interior design projects, I find inspiration from comfortable living, intimate family gatherings, gourmet food and wines, new and exciting travel destinations, color and texture, historical architectural figures and fashion. I approach each interior design project, whether in Arizona or Hawaii, with a simplistic approach. I love minimalistic and classic details, clean lines, organic and natural materials. I strive to create intimate yet sophisticated spaces with a combination of contemporary and transitional settings.
